Interactive map in Paris — bike share.
Data refreshed continuously from the official feed.
What the map shows
Each station shows the bikes available and the free docks at the moment you consult it. Vélib’ Métropole runs a mixed fleet: mechanical bikes alongside electrically assisted ones.
The service extends well beyond central Paris: the network covers much of the metropolitan area, which makes suburb-to-suburb journeys possible without passing through the centre.
A few useful habits
At rush hour, station stocks empty in the morning and fill in the evening: plan ahead by picking out two arrival stations close to each other.
Check the state of the bike before setting off — brakes, tyres, saddle — and report any fault from the app: a reported bike is taken out of service.
Where the data comes from
Availability comes from the public Vélib’ Métropole GBFS feed, queried at the pace it publishes. The map therefore reflects the last known state of the service.
Frequently asked questions
- How many Vélib’ stations are there?
- The network has around 1,400 stations across Paris and a hundred or so municipalities of the metropolitan area. The map shows those published in the official feed.
- Is the availability shown live?
- It comes from the service's official feed, refreshed continuously. A lag of a few moments between the display and the ground is possible.
- How do I tell mechanical bikes from electric ones?
- Each station record breaks the two categories down where the feed publishes them.
- Can I return a bike to any station?
- Yes, subject to free docks. If the station you are aiming for is full, the map lets you spot another nearby.
- Does Sécu’Cycle plan routes from a Vélib’ station?
- Not yet. The station map is up to date across the whole Vélib’ area, but route planning does not cover Île-de-France.
