A survey to be read for what it is
Close to 90 water points are mapped across the metropolitan area. That figure is modest, and should be read as a lower bound: it describes the state of contributions to OpenStreetMap, not what the municipalities actually provide.
In other words, the absence of a marker in a neighbourhood proves nothing. The presence of one, on the other hand, is reliable: only points explicitly declared drinkable are kept, and ornamental fountains are excluded.
Parks and waterways
