Where can you lock your bike in Nantes? This map lists the stands, racks, shelters and lockers across the 24 municipalities of the metropolitan area, from both banks of the Loire to the Erdre and Sèvre valleys.

What the map shows
Each point is a parking spot surveyed by OpenStreetMap contributors. With more than 5,000 spots recorded, Nantes Métropole is the best-served area on the service.
Stands dominate: they are the only equipment that lets you lock the frame and a wheel with a U-lock. Racks and wheel benders hold only the front wheel, which offers poor protection against theft.
A network that follows the Loire
The distribution tells the geography of Nantes: high density in the centre, on the île de Nantes and around the university districts, thinning out as soon as you leave the tram corridors.
The Loire crossings concentrate cycling flows and, with them, parking demand on either side of the bridges. That is also where enclosed shelters make the difference.
A live map, and therefore sometimes behind
The survey comes from OpenStreetMap and resynchronises automatically. It therefore lives at the pace of contributions: a stand installed last month may be missing, and one removed may linger.
The capacity shown carries the same limitation: it is only filled in for some spots. Its absence does not mean a single space, only that nobody has recorded the number.
