What the map shows

Each point is a spot surveyed on the ground by OpenStreetMap contributors. Stands dominate: they are the only equipment that lets you lock the frame and a wheel with a U-lock.

Shelters and enclosed lockers appear separately, mainly around the station and the tram terminuses, where they cover a full day of parking.

Parking in a city that cycles

Strasbourg has the highest share of journeys made by bike of any French city, and parking demand follows: in the centre at peak times, stands fill up, and the nearest free spot is not always the most obvious one.

Locking to street furniture is tolerated as long as it does not block the way, but a smooth post can be lifted off. Prefer a proper stand, even one street further on.
